Steps to create Pie chart ?
Create a Piechart
1. Select the data for which you want to create a chart.
2. Click INSERT > Recommended Charts.
3. On the Recommended Charts tab, scroll through the list of charts that Excel recommends
for your data, and click any chart to see how your data will look.
If you don’t see a chart you like, click All Charts to see all the available chart types.
4. When you find the Piechart, click it > OK.
5. Use the Chart Elements, Chart Styles, and Chart Filters buttons, next to the upper-right
corner of the chart to add chart elements like axis titles or data labels, customize the look of
your chart, or change the data that is shown in the chart.
6. To access additional design and formatting features, click anywhere in the chart to add
the CHART TOOLS to the ribbon, and then click the options you want on
the DESIGN and FORMAT tabs.
Difference between sorting and Filtering ?
Sorting Data
Let’s say you had the spreadsheet above and wanted to sort by price. This process is fairly simple. You can either highlight the whole column or even click on the first cell in the column to get started. Then you will:
- Right click to open the menu
- Go down to the Sort option – when hovering over Sort the sub-menu will appear
- Click on Largest to Smallest
- Select Expand the selection
- Click OK
Filtering Data
The filter feature applies a drop down menu to each column heading, allowing you to select specific choices to narrow a table. Using the above example, let’s say you wanted to filter your table by Company and Salesperson.

1. Hit Ctrl+P for Print (or click File then Print)
2. Open the Print Layout options
3. Select the Notes Page layout

Printing of Handouts:
To print handouts, follow these steps:
1. Click the File tab, and click Print.
2. Enter the desired number of copies.
3. Choose a different printer if needed from the Printer drop-down list.
4. Click Full Page Slides to open a menu.
5. Click one of the layouts in the Handouts section of the menu.
6. Adjust any other print settings as needed.
7. Click Print to print the handouts.
8. Click Print to submit the print job to your printer.
