Okra is a warm-season crop that requires proper field preparation to obtain good crop stand and optimum yield.

Before plowing the area, broadcast organic fertilizer or compost (1kg/m2) to improve soil fertility.

Okra plants should be spaced 10 inches apart in a very sunny area with fertile, well-drained soil having a neutral pH of 6.5 to 7.0 Prayagraj.

One planting of okra can produce both a spring crop and an even bigger fall crop if you follow simple guidelines such as pruning the plant, removing old leaves, and providing adequate water and nutrients.

In summary, growing okra requires proper field preparation, including soil improvement and spacing of plants, followed by regular maintenance practices for optimal yield.
